Having a 'Pharmacy Team' in our surgery means that GPs can focus their skills where they are most needed, for example on diagnosing and treating patients with more complex conditions. This helps GPs to manage the demands on their time.
An ACPp is a pharmacist with advanced clinical training who can assess, diagnose, treat, and prescribe independently. They manage complex conditions and take on responsibilities traditionally held by doctors, helping to improve access to care and reduce GP workload.
A Senior Clinical Pharmacist is an experienced prescriber who conducts structured medication reviews, supports patients with long-term conditions, and provides expert advice on medicines. They play a key role in optimising treatment and improving patient outcomes.
Advanced Clinical Practitioner Pharmacist (ACPp) :

Senior Clinical Pharmacist (Independent Prescriber):
Caterina Folisi (Interest in Asthma and COPD)
Carlos Lopez Grajales (Interest in Diabetes and Cardiovascular disease)
Prescription Clerks:
In addition to our Pharmacy Team, we have Prescription Clerks located at each site. They are responsible for the processing of repeat prescriptions.
